48 inches x 60 inches on canvas

Unique piece, acrylic paint house paint and Floetrol

This large work (4 foot x 5 foot canvas) from 2020 is comprised of four different “geode” pours, created in the same manner as my Geode series. I love playing with scale and working with larger canvases and this was an opportunity to combine my favorite elements from the Geode series and to take advantage of both the overall scale of the canvas as well as the utilization of the negative (white) space afforded by the larger canvas..

The name of the work is a cheeky nod to the popular dish “Oysters Rockefeller” because the organic shapes reminded me of shucked oysters.
