Nightscape
30” x 40” canvas
Acrylic, spray paint and stencil
Inspired by recent “urban cubist” work from the artist Flore, I continued to explore the use of geometric stencils to create layers and depth that ultimately reminded me of an abstract city skyline. I looked to incorporate the concept of a horizon line for the first time in my work, and then began to experiment with shadows and making the “waterfront” come alive with people and activity.
