12 inches x 16 inches on canvas
Mixed media with collage
Concurrent with the development of my “Cut and Paste” collection I was also working on the pieces in my “Heritage” series in the studio. Since I was using canvases with painted grey backgrounds for the other series I decided to utilize this technique with a piece in “Cut and Paste” as well. For this particular piece I used both typographic elements as well as some photographs of street art I had taken previously and incorporated both into the collage. The result is a more colorful and less constrained pallet than the previous pieces in the collection.
